Now, finish front edges with Ozark Handspun using double crochet along body. Crochet into mane with single crochet around mane. (You may need to switch to a smaller hook or use knitting needle to create holes for stitches.)
Fill in armhole openings using Ozark Handspun and single crochet.
Attach button of choice to left front, positioning as desired. To create buttonhole loop, attach Manos del Uruguay to front edge. Chain appropriate length for button size. Attach to edge, creating loop. Now, single crochet over chain stitches. Fasten off.

This is HIDEOUS!!!! What the hell are you people thinking? Is this a joke, or does somebody actually wear this in public? I'd understand if it was the only thing you had to wear in the world, and it was either wear it or die. This can hardly be called fashion.

What on god's green earth is that? Clothing? Because it looks like garbage lumped together with string and a button. Another failed attempt at "fashion" by what trying to look homeless? Jesus please no one ever make that!

This vest is awesome! Fun, funky, freeform. Disregard the negative stuff posted by unkind folks. There are those out here who really think this is great!
Shame on those who are so mean. If you don't think it's nice, don't post! Keep your ugly opinions to yourselves, please.

As the person who created this, I am used to the fact that some people are not sophisticated enough to appreciate or understand something that is a bit different from their usual Wal-Mart special couture. Actually, this looks wonderful when worn and has been made by quite a few people with outstanding results.

It is noticed that the ugly remarks had to be made anonymously by the posters. I wonder how they would feel if this kind of mean behavior was publicly directed at them!

I love this and have wanted to make it but thought I might not have the knitting skills. I could not BELIEVE the negitive, mean comments made by people have no creative flair to wear clothes that aren't like every one else's. I guess we could all run around looking like all shop at Macy's. I'm knitting it for sure!!!

wow such harsh criticism....Just because you don't appreciate or understand "art" doesn't give you the right to object...or maybe it does. Art has a way of provoking emotions, either good or bad. Artists have endured this for years...so I say keep spinning crazy, funky yarns Ozark...keep pissing off the unbred of this world and feed the souls of the true artist appreciator.

This is really lovely. People who don't get it should just keep their rudeness to themselves.

Love this!
Not super crazy about the colors for ME but will make it in colors that are better for ME.
I emphasize "ME" as that's what creating should be about - what YOU love and find beautiful and to hell with what anyone else thinks.
So to those who posted negative comments, may I ask......do you really think your opinion will make me change my mind about making this?
AND HONESTLY - what makes you think anyone really cares what you think?

Very artsy and imaginative. I love it! I can see adding some other details into it. I'm definitely going to make one. Thank you for daring to explore the medium!

I think this vest is wonderful. When I searched out the pattern & saw it was free all the better. I've made a lot of fugly sweaters (fun & maybe a little ugly) but they're always super fun to make and I'm often surprised (in a happy way) at how they turn out. I get a lot of positive comments on my creations. Maybe the negative comments are from people not brave enough to knit their true colors and try something different:-)
